ok so, heres the situation,

My friends had this argument over this and the argument has been going on for about 2 weeks and has been passed to other people making more arguments!! so i'll explain as best i can,

So jess and helen where sitting down and helen says to jess "can you please pass me the straightner's?" (as in hair straighter's) and jess said "dont you mean straighter?" they then had a huge argument over calling them straighter's or a straightner??

What would you say? i would say straightner's, because if you where asking for some tongs for example, you wouldnt say pass the tong coz technicly theres two tongs that make it, isnt that the same with a straightner?

SO confusing lol
